Same place where you get almost everything: you can buy it from the Grand Exchange. Or, to make it yourself, use a knife on an achey tree log, while having wolf bones in your inventory. This requires the quest Zogre Flesh Eaters.

First cut a log into an unstrung bow, then use flax on a spinning wheel to make bow string, then use the bow string on the unstrung bow to make a finished bow. You will require a higher fletching level to make better bows.
Stringing bows is simple. Assuming you already have your unstrung bow, head to Seers' Village and pick some flax. Take it to any spinning wheel in RuneScape (there's one conveniently placed in Seers' Village, next to the graveyard) to spin into a bowstring. You can then use this newly-created bowstring on the unstrung bow, an action which strings the bow into the complete product. Bowstrings are tradeable and can be bought in bulk via the Grand Exchange.
you can make string with it to put on your unstrung symbols or your amulets.
The maple shortbow is the best cause it give +29 in atk bonuses, while the willow comp gives a +22 bonus and shoots slower.
The magic shortbow has +69 range bonus and a special attack called snapshot. The magic longbow has the same range bonus and a special attack called powershot. A magic comp bow has +71 range bonus. So it's pretty good. P.S. The special attacks are members' only, and the magic comp bow is member only.
The highest hitting bow with the highest DPS in runescape is the Zaryte bow. The bow with the best special attack however, is the dark bow with dragon arrows.
A dark bow is like 249k in runescape.

i bought both the maple short and the willow comp and compared the stats and i was mad cause i had just spend 70+k on a willow comp just to find out it had worse stats than the maple short so i think maple short is the best because it is faster than maple long and does the same amount of damage
The best bow for non members on runescape i think is the maple short bow it is short so it is really fast and its a maple so it is strong as well
Look for the bow emote.
A sacred clay bow will double the experience you get in ranged until it wears out.
