You can purchase caps for a quad cane at any medical equipment store, most pharmacies and most discount retailers, like Target and Walmart. You might take along one of the caps from the cane to compare with the various options.
A quad cane offers more stability because the area of contact on the walking surface is greater. The contact area with a basic cane is minimal and is not intended for the support offered by a quad cane. There are different types of quad canes, each with a different size contact area. Your physician, physical therapist or medical supply professional can help you determine which style is best for your particular needs. Make sure you have ample instruction on how to use the quad cane.

No real disadvantage....however, it is harder to use at an angle, and heavier (when made of the same material). Quad Canes are very stable and reliable, and do not rock back-and-forth very easily, but both kinds have plusses. many people prefer the quad cane for a number of reasons, but a good, single-point, standard cane can be just as useful. It really just depends on your needs and perspective. I added a link down below so that you can see how many different kinds of quad canes there are. Thanks btlwgn98, cane collector and aficionado.
If you are just gonna be using it for the outdoors then no. If you intend to be using it indoors as well then yes. Most buildings do not want marks on their floors from a cane, and the rubber stopper prevents that.
Where they'd usually be. Near the exhaust manifold. There are rubber caps covering them, which just pop off. The rubber caps have wires coming off them, which go to your distributor.
The price on quad canes varies greatly depending on quality, material it is made of, how wide the base of stability is and whether it is adjustable or not. It looks like an average range for a basic cane is between $35 and $50. Medicare will help with the cost if the doctor has written a prescription.
