A broken violin.
When you see someone refer to a "violin outfit," it means they are talking about both the violin and the bow. This sometimes includes the case as well. When purchasing a violin online, you want to make sure you're buying a violin outfit with a case, and not just a violin by itself.
Antonini Strradivari
well there's one song called Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners.
It depends on your electric violin. A hollow-body violin with an acoustic pickup (basically, a traditional violin with a microphone built into it) will make sound just like a standard acoustic violin. A solid-body electric violin will make sound without an amp...but unless you're the violin player, you won't hear it.
Just a little fun fact for you: the world's most expensive publicly auctioned instrument (as of 2006) was indeed a Stradivarius violin called "The Lady Tennant." The violin sold for $2.03 million! Of course, not only are you buying probably one of the world's best sounding, most beautiful, hand-crafted instruments, you're also buying a piece of history. I play violin. Usually, when the price is high, it's made out of a better material and it is better made. For string instruments, hand made instruments are more expensive than machine produced. Also, the little black lining along the side of the instrument is actually there to help the instrument expand without breaking it. More expensive instruments will probably have that. Cheaper ones will have them painted on. Also, the sound quality is generally better on more expensive instruments. Older instruments will be more expensive.
some sort of violin i play a small one
Given the same quality, generally a cello will be more expensive.
No absolutely not the bridge is what transfers the vibrations of the strings into the hollow inside of the violin resonating the sound, if you were to play it without the bridge it would sound similar to an electric guitar without an amp.
Well I think the strings are as you cannot play the violin without the strings. from the belt man. Also the sound post in the violin is a major player in the sound making process
Generally, student violins are not bought based upon the brand, but by the maker of the violin. Any violin that one buys that is less than roughly 250 USD is not going to be of very good quality. If you buy a violin online, you might have to get the bridge completely readjusted (just for your information). It would be much better to go to a music store or a violin shop and see if you can get a nice violin for a reasonable price instead of buying a violin online.
