Maybe a restaurant if your older like 17+ but when you are younger some fun places like laser tag or something along those lines are really fun too.
well to my opinion, i think a surprise birthday party rocks!
* Many guests would like to see the birthday person open their gifts, but, it's not always necessary. Unless it's done at the time the birthday cake is introduced the party may get into high gear and less people will be paying attention. In other words, make the announcement earlier in the evening regarding the birthday cake then open gifts right after. If this is not possible then send the gifts home with the birthday person.
you can make party favors such as ballon animals. you can also use ballons as a basic decoration around your home or where ever you are having the party at.
When you are at a birthday party and you have no reason to leave, but want to, then you should leave after the birthday cake is cut and served. Then make an excuse and leave. If you have an appointment or have to home at a certain time then show up at the birthday party and when it's time for you to leave go to the person who is having the birthday and let them know you had a good time, but unfortunately you have to leave.

A great birthday party would be to make or buy a fun cake and invite his friends from daycare. Decorate with crepe paper and other baby safe things.
My Birthday is on Valentines Day. You can: Go sledding with friends Bowling Indoor party at home or like Builda Bear or some Chucky Cheese place make a fire and roast marshmallows! its tons of fun!
Get what you want to decorate with. Get the coolest place to have it. And make sure your party is awesome.
