We used to keep a second cage at our dad's house so that we could transport our ferrets back and forth with us. If your dad is not up to having them at his house, see if your mom could watch them while you're gone.
In the worst case scenario, if you can't find anyone to watch them, make sure you leave them plenty of food and water in the cage to last the whole weekend. They should survive the weekend without you. This is not an ideal situation though, as ferrets are very sociable creatures and would get bored and lonely without you. It is best if you have multiple ferrets so they can keep each other company in the absence of human companionship.
A carrier for cats work wonders, they dont need a Huge carrier if they get to run around often. I have 4 ferrets and i put them in a dog carrier when I go somewhere, because i do not know how long they will have to stay in there sometimes. so i want them comfortable
A mi padre por el fin de semana... literally. but you would be better off saying "a la casa de mi padre por el fin de semana"...that means "at my dads house for the weekend" instead.

It depends on if the kid's are theres. If its theres then whenever he/she wants to see them, but most separated/divorced couples just do it so that the other parent can see the kid's on weekends or every other weekend. My parents, when i lived with my mom did it so that i only went to my dads on the weekends unless i wanted to hangout with friend's then i would go the next weekend. But now I'm 17 and live with my dad and my mom lives about an hour away from me, so i barely ever see her.

Every person is different. That means all dads are different. You should know your dad well enough to pick food that he likes.

Dads might work late or are busy with other things. Don't worry, he'll get there soon!
This what i know that my parents are separated but, i live with my mom but i go to my dads house every weekend. Sometimes if my mom is nice enough i will go to his house on the weekday and ride the bus to school from and back to his house. I don't know about the joint physical custody.
