Real people would never appear in a Telus ad. No human in their right mind would want to be affiliated with Telus in any way, so the only solution was to hire meerkats. Also, meerkats are cute. They make Telus seem slightly less evil. But also important to note; all Telus ads feature animals. And I guess it's a successful ad campaign strategy because they're now using meerkats.
