How does the Watchlist work on WikiAnswers?

Using Your WatchlistYou can put whatever questions you want on your Watchlist. This list shows all of the questions that you wish to watch - whether you asked them, answered them, or are making sure that no one ruins a great answer. When you see a new question, you will see four blocks that you can click on. One of them says "Watch this question" which if you click on it, will be added to your Watchlist. Any changes at all that are made to that question will show up in your Watchlist, with information on when it was changed and by whom. You can also unselect questions that you wish to watch by opening up your watchlist and clicking on "Click here to change the list of Categories and questions you are watching."(See Related question on how to use your Watchlist)

It's possible that you are watching a Category rather than specific questions. Check to see if you have any categories ticked off in your watchlist settings.

What is the ideal range of questions to have on your Watchlist?

Whatever you're interested in! However, bear in mind that anything in your watchlist of categories will get added to it, so if you want something like Chemistry or Cars in there, be prepared to sift through a lot of stuff that you may not really intend to be watching. It really depends on how popular the questions in that category are; try to maintain it so that you have a couple of hundred new items or so being added per day. Remember that you can always clear out your list if it gets too full, or change the list of categories - even the specific questions - you're watching to stop a lot of unnecessary additions, whenever you feel the need.

Why is there a bunch of spam on my watchlist?

You may have been receiving updates for a question that was removed from the site as inappropriate. This would cause other questions that are trashed for the same reason to appear on your watchlist. Try the related link below and look for a general question for which you have not elected to receive updates. Then check it off and remove it from the list.
