MTG has a better user base and more people hang onto their decks as they go up in value if it is SUPER COMPLETE. Also the super rare cards STILL HOLD VALUE.
Pokemon, unless written in some foreign language it seems, is just the opposite, after all it was based off of MTG, anyway.
Wizards kept, until lately, 6th generations cards in tournaments.Now they upped to minimum 8th.That was five years ago.MINT cards and NEAR-MINT cards only hold value.
The trick is not to open the deck, or if you do, STORE IT SAFELY.
