Buy a Haynes Manual at your local auto parts store (just like a Chiltons) and find page with diagrams.

Does your Firebird have a Chevy or Pontiac motor in it?If it is a Pontiac motor, you will need an adapter from Summit or Jeg's.Also, it could be a different output shaft length and spline count.
bad gas?
Could be any number of problems. Low fuel pressure, vacuum leak, bad idle air control valve, throttle stop screw set slightly too low.
Your best bet would be to probably purchase a Haynes manual or a Chiltons manual, which tells you anything mechanically that you could possibly know about your specific car.
The EGR valve is used to reduce emissions and pass environmental testing for your vehicle (especially in California). The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is part of the vacuum system and a faulty valve will cause vacuum instability (leaking) and could cause engine stumbling. If you can find a way to eliminate it by capping the placeholder you might not suffer major difficulty, however, there is a sensor for its use and the computer (ECM) could induce erratic commands to the entire system as a whole with its removal. The 1995 Pontiac Firebird is a sensor rich computer controlled vehicle.
You can find a fuse box layout wiring diagram in the Haynes 1976 Firebird Repair Manual. The manual is available at auto parts and major book stores.
If your talking about an ls1 then no it does not unless it is a high performance timing chain then it could be double

It could be the fuse, the bulb is burned out, or the wires are cut or corroded. It may also be that the connection is loose.
The vacuum diagrams are too large for me to post here. But you can get them at the Public Library in the Reference Section.
