I'm ready to chow down!
Chow is food. You hear this most often in the military. People also say "chow down," meaning to eat. People usually don't say "I'm going to chow down on some chow," though! You could say "Want to go get some chow?" or "That dinner looks delicious -- let's chow down!"

The name Ho Lee Chow sounds almost identical to the phrase Holy Chow. Depending on one's ethnic background or where geographically this name / phrase is heard, it is understandable that one is quite often mistaken for the other. Holy Chow as a phrase, however, is not nearly as prevalent as the nearly identical sounding American exclamation, "Holy Cow!" or the actual reference to cows in Indian culture (holy cows).
Well, the main consumers of cows are humans. However, wolves, bears, coyotes and cougars have been known to drop in and take down a young calf or lone cow if they have nothing else to eat in the wild. Scavengers like ravens, magpies, eagles, coyotes, foxes and carnivorous insects are happy to chow down on a cow, provided that it is already dead.

let it cool down first
Mountains eat goats and cats eat pigs. Cats eat termites off of cows and ants chow down on worms attacking spiders. :)
This means to eat. "Chow" is food, especially in the military. You'd say "let's chow down" if something looks especially tasty and you plan to really enjoy it. You could also say "He really chowed down on that burger," if someone ate something really quickly.
