They were thretened hat if they spoke they would have their tongues cut off. One day the master came back early and heared them singing. At first he was shocked that the slaves broke his very strict rules, but then realized he enjoyed listening to their music so he took them across the sea in boats (the slaves were still chained up) and got them to preform for the people of America.
