Anne Bonney was caught first by her 2nd husband when she was found to be with child the first time and put ashore with friends to recover after birth before rejoining. She, her husband "Calico" Jack Rackham, Mary Read, and another crewman were captured when their vessel was seized from after they went into the privateering buisness. Their ship was captured by pirate hunter Captain Jonathan Barnet. She was later jailed but not hanged (like her husband) due to the fact she was pregnant again. Mary also survived the noose being with child...
"Rackham and his crew were arrested and brought to trial in what is now known as Spanish Town, Jamaica, where they were sentenced to hang for acts of piracy, as were Read and Bonny. However, the women escaped the noose when they revealed they were both "quick with child" (known as "Pleading the belly"), so they received a temporary stay of execution. Read was believed to have been pregnant by the artist, whom she considered her legal husband before God. Bonny was believed to have been pregnant by Rackham (who was not her legal husband).
Read died in prison in April 1721, but there is no record of burial of her baby. Official documents state that Read died of fever associated with childbirth.

Anne Bonny and Mary Read were captured after their pirate ship was attacked by a British naval vessel in 1720. Bonny and Read were both convicted of piracy and sentenced to hang, but their sentences were commuted to life in prison due to pregnancy and they disappeared from historical records after that.

∙ 14y agoThey met aboard Calico Jack Rackham's pirate ship. Anne Bonny was his lover and Mary Read was one of his crew. Both hid their gender from the rest of the crew and Anne took a liking to Mary as she thought Mary was a 'handsome young fellow.' Anne revealed herself to Mary as a woman and Mary was left with no option but to do the same.

Anne Bonny was in a relationship with Jack Rackham (after when Rackham flirtatiously passed Bonny her first flintlock pistol, just as British forces arrived in Nassau) but they escaped Nassau later to run away from Anne's estranged husband who was offended of their relationship and joined the pirate crew of Mary Read..
And i suggest that Rackham was the father of Anne's son but her son died soon.

At first Anne thought Mary was quite handsome, she wanted Mary for herself. Soon, Captain Rackham was quite jealous which Mary was to spill out the truth. Later Anne and Mary became best friend.
