No. Rosa Parks was never sent to prison; she spent one night in jail after her arrest on a misdemeanor charge of violating Montgomery, Alabama, segregation laws by refusing to give her seat to a white man on December 1, 1955. Parks was released the next morning on $100 bond, and later fined $10 plus $4 in court costs for the incident.
