Helen Keller was expected to go to school for the deaf, which she did. However, she surprised most people when she was admitted to and graduated from Radcliffe, an elite college for women.
Helen Keller attended Radcliffe College, which is now known as the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. She enrolled in 1900 and graduated in 1904, becoming the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
