Polo originated in India. When British army officers and employee's of the East India Trading Company went to India for trading purposes they discovered the game and began to refine it. They took tales, and drawings of the game back to England with them and the game became a national past time of the wealthy and royals. Today the game is dominated by the American and Argentinian teams.
