No. The Battle of Britain was a defensive air battle, and the RAF fought the Luftwaffe with fighter aeroplanes. The Lancaster was a four-engined bomber which didn't come into service until after the BofB.
During World War II, the three most important European battles that took place were the Battle of Britain in 1940, the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942/1943, and the Battle of the Bulge in 1944/1945. The first ensured that Germany would not win a quick victory in the war. The second proved that Germany had, indeed, overstretched itself by engaging in a two-front war. The third used up the last of Germany's military reserves, ensuring its final defeat while also enabling the Soviet Union to gain control of most of Eastern Europe, which set the stage for the Cold War to come.

Yes, my uncle, Bert Allen , was in the Battle of the Bulge. Uncle Bert is 93 years old, his health is pretty good but his memory is not the best. There is a website called Friends_of_US_2nd_Infantry_Division_WWII. There are quite a few gentlemen still living that fought during the Battle of the Bulge. You can ask them anything and they are still as sharp as a tack. Some still take annual visits back to the Normandy beaches. My father fought with the Second Indianhead Division, that's how I stumbled on the site. It's great. I typed in that address but they said it was wrong and i didn't come up with anything
The outcome of the battle was that is was an German failure and a Allied victory. After this, the Germans quickly decline from the western front towards Berlin to protect it and Germany from Allied occupation.
The second battle of Sabine pass, fought on Sept.8,1863, was a major Confederate victory.
