Home, presumably. But you have to go a different way. Pick up the football and go left to Snoopy's doghouse. Use the football and it knocks the helmet down from the tree, starting the Flying Ace adventure.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was first aired on television in 1966.
Charlie Brown is originally outside Linus and Lucy's house, and Lucy is inside. When you complete the pumpkin patch sequence, Charlie brown is with Snoopy in his backyard (left). When you finish collecting the leaves, and Linus jumps in them, follow him to mail his letter. After he does (with a delay to recover his blanket), Lucy and Charlie Brown are playing with the football in the yard.
After you get the invitation and the pen, Charlie Brown and Snoopy are in his backyard, on the far left of the island. You will play a mini-game as Snoopy gathers some leaves in a very relaxed manner.
In "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," consumerism is reflected through the characters' excitement and anticipation for Halloween treats and costumes. The commercialization of Halloween is subtly portrayed through the characters' focus on candy and material goods rather than the spirit of the holiday.
After Linus mails his letter, go left to where Lucy and Charlie Brown have the football.
