Rhinos can be found in Africa and Asia. In Africa, the black rhino and the white rhino live on savannas. In Asia, the Indian, Sumatran, and Javan rhinos live in the locations they are named for.

The word "rhinoceros" first crossed the verbal playing field circa the year 1300. Its root is the Greek rhinokeros, a word which has, fairly obviously, an also Greek root. That root is rhinos, which means "nose." In approximately the 1880s, the shortened version of "rhinoceros," "rhino" began to become known. It is unkind to call people with either interesting noses or eating disorders any of these things, I note, glancing at the categories wherein this question appeared.
