Wire into the brown with red tracer at the ECU
The black wire is the ground wire. The red wire is the positive wire. The green and yellow wires are the speaker wires. The white wire is the auxiliary wire.
Red= power, ither straight to battery or to ignitionBlack= ground, ither to a bolt, or to the negative battery terminalYellow= lights, hook on to your dash lights or stero lightsGreen= rpm, hook to coil on the negative side i thnk :{Hope that helps...to my knowledge, the 96 sprints' do not have a place to hook up a wire to the coil. how ever, i had found a site previously (that i cannot remember) that suggested to find the (#80) brown wire with white trace and connect it to that, but that is not working for me...
The Pink and light blue one from the diagnostics loom.
The reverse switch on a manual transmission Excel is on the transmission itself. Look for a two wire plug on the top of the tranmission when looking down from the top of the engine. Most automatic transmissions have a similar wiring plug.
AutoZone.Com will have info about your car.
there is no fuse located for fuel gauge. check connector. maybe it is lose or some wire is discontented. check connector and cable in the back seats.
Push the door panel in around the window handle and use a screwdriver or a piece of wire with a hook to pull the clip off....it's in behind the handle.
same way you'd wire a radio in any other car.
on to your coil, or you ignition box where it is labeld tach only ( or some thing like that ) hope that helps
hard to find the tach signal wire due to the fact that the ignition coils are built into the distributor (old cars always easy to work on) to get the right wire l have posted a page on how to install a tach to your Mitsubishi. go to www.sureyya.biz and click on Mitsubishi tacho install. Dont forget to give feedback on how useful the info was.
hey, I just recently put a 5" tacho in my 1991 kf laser and mounted it in the little compartment in front of the gear stick. here is how I wired it up: First mount your tacho in spot where it isn't blocking any of your vision. Now to wire it up: (For safety disconnect the negative battery cable) Black wire (Ground): You can wire it to most bolts that are screwed into metal. I wired it to a bolt on the seat rail. I had to sand it a bit to expose raw metal. Then I just tucked the wire under the plastic beside the seat. Red wire (power): I ran it straight to my fuse box next to the pedals. I just pulled out the wiper fuse (only has power when car is on) folded the end of the wire over a post of the fuse and plugged it back in. I ran the wire under the steering column. Green wire (tacho signal): I ran the wire through an existing hole in the firewall I found on the passengers side. To locate the signal wire which is yellow with a green stripe got to your spark plugs, follow that back to the distributor cap (cap with 5 plugs) follow the middle plugs wire back and it should end at a small 'A' shaped thing with a WHITE plug on one side and a BLACK plug on the other. But bypassing this is a wire with a plug in the middle. On one side of the plug should be a blue wire and on the other side should be the YELLOW with a green stripe! So what I did was fold the tip of my green wire so it was thicker and slid it in beside the yellow/green stripe wire in the plug. Then I taped it up so it wouldn't come out. Yellow wire (dimmer): This wire dims your tacho when the headlights Are on. (so it isn't as bright) If you do wNt this wire connected, connect it the same way as the power wire but connect it to the headlight fuse. Now reconnect the negative battery cable and hide Away all your wiring and test your tacho. :) if you need any more help my email is: skate.rave.live@hotmail.com I can send pictures of where to connect and stuff if you need more detail. Good luck!
