The chemoautotrophs make food (organic substances) from non-organic compounds such as chemical. These organisms are usually in dark places where light doesn't penetrate through.

The photoautotrophs make food from sunlight through a process known as photosynthesis. These organisms must be in a presence of sunlight otherwise they cannot produce food.
