Good question- no good simple answer- since plants and animals were hee before we were. A theory (educated guess that seems to be backed up by facts) is that over a period of time, plants and animals developed from simpler single celled forms of life.

Who was on the Earth first?

Adam and Eve... well actually if your going to go by biblical reference. in the bible it says that the animals were created before humans and plants before animals. so it was the animals and as of the question. what came first the chicken or the egg. in The Bible it says god created animals. Note.. it says animals not eggs. so you can assume animals later reproduced and therefore the egg came afterwards.
