The Adirondacks are a small part of the Appalachian mountain range and cover eleven counties in New York state. The Rocky Mountains spans two countries, The US and Canada running through British Columbia, Alberta, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico . The highest point in the Adirondack mountains is on top of Mount Marcy at the elevation of 5344 feet of 1629 meters. The Highest in The Rockies is on top of Mount Elbert at a height of 14440 feet or 4401 meters. The Adirondacks consist of over 100 summits which are the remnants of an eroded dome.
