Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church), like all Christians, believe that God lives in Heaven. They do not assign heaven to any specific place or location, and can only speculate as to where it is or what it looks like.
A less commonly used Mormon scripture gives some insight, saying that a planet called "Kolob" is "nearest to the throne of God" and that there, "a day is as a thousand years". (See Pearl of Great Price, Abraham chp. 3) However, it specifically mentions that God does not live on Kolob, only near to it. Mormons do not know if Kolob is any planet that mankind has discovered or not.
No. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) believe that God resides in heaven. Where exactly 'heaven' is remains unknown. A rarely used book of Mormon scripture describes a planet called 'Kolob' which is said to be "nearest to the throne of God". It never says that God lives there, only that it is the closest planet to where God lives.
No. The doctrine and scripture of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) never says that God lives on another planet. It does briefly mention that a planet called 'Kolob' is "nearest to the throne of God" (see Pearl of Great Price, Abraham Chapter 3), but it does not say that God lives there, only that He lives near there. Mormons believe that God lives in the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven, where all mankind may dwell with Him if they choose to obey Him.
Mormon scripture and doctrine never says that God lives on a planet. It does state that a planet or star called Kolob is 'the nearest to the throne of God', but that is all that is known. Most Mormons assume that God lives on a planet of some sort, but this place is never given a name nor described.
it is the heavenly father otherwise known as god or jesus christ
God does speak to women. It's just not as widely heard of as the men. God speaks to whoever he wants to. ~*Answered by a Mormon*~
No. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the 'Mormon' church) worship God alone. To worship Joseph Smith would be blasphemy and just as inappropriate and absurd as worshiping Moses or Isaiah or any other prophet. They do not worship their church either. Mormons do believe that God was once a man, but that He is now glorified, exalted and deified and is God, not a man.Mormons also do not believe that God lives on Kolob, two verses of Mormon scripture say that the throne of God is near toKolob. It never says He lives on Kolob. In addition, atheism is the belief that there is no god - so even if one does not worship or believe in the same god that you do, this does not mean they are atheists.
No, I believe that God is the creator of the world and lives in heaven. There is no gravity in heaven, but I am not sure because I have never asked God. How are we suppose to know? We have not seen Him. Sorry if this is a bad answer. A Mormon's answer: (the above answer is not a bad answer, btw...) While Mormons believe that God has a body of flesh and bone, it is not a mortal body. Mortal bodies are subject to the forces of nature, such a gravity, but immortal bodies, such as those of God and resurrected beings (angels and the like), are not subject to forces of nature. When a Mormon says that God has a body, they simply mean that when you see God, He looks like a man. They get this belief from the many times that the Bible mentions body parts in relation to God as well as the testimony of Stephen seeing God in the Book of Acts. Also, Joseph Smith claimed to have seen God the Father and said that He was in the form of a man as well.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that life is eternal - we existed prior to this mortal life and will exist after this mortal life. This is not considered to be multiple lives, but different stages in one life. Mormons believe that all people lived in heaven with God prior to being born on this earth, and that we will return to heaven to live with God again after we die. Mormons do not believe in reincarnation or the idea that you may live multiple lives on earth. The only 'past life' was in heaven with God, and the only 'next life' is in heaven with God (or, for some, in hell with Satan). Yes and no. Warren Jeffs is is a member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint (FLDS) which does regard the Book of Mormon to be the Word of God, so he is a Mormon. However, he is not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) which is (by far) the largest church which regards the Book of Mormon to be the Word of God, so he is unlike any Mormon you are likely to meet.
well, God "lives" with the angels and Jesus. Jesus sits at the right hand of God.
Mormon underwear, also known as temple garments, feature symbols such as the square, compass, and navel mark. These symbols represent covenants made with God, reminders of moral standards, and protection. They hold significance in Mormon faith as a sacred reminder of their commitment to God and living a virtuous life.
