Melbourne to LA, but QANTAS has ordered more A380's and are going to introduce a Shanghai route. * * * UPDATED * * * See the related link below for complete listing of all routes and schedules flown by the A380. Include Qantas schedules as well as Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Air France (from Nov09).
From Sydney to: Singapore, London Heathrow ( Via Singapore) , LAX, Hong Kong, Frankfurt
From Melbourne to: Singapore, London Heathrow ( Via Singapore ),LAX
At present no... The only carrier who currently fly the A380 to Los Angeles (LAX) is Qantas who opperate flight between LA and Sydney and LA and Melbourne. Qantas and Singapore Airlines both fly between Singapore and both Melbourne and Sydney so you could fly the A380 all the way to LA just not without a stopover also you have to take Qantas for at least one sector. See the related link below for complete listing of all routes and schedules flown by the A380. Includes schedules for Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Air France (from Nov09).
Not sure if this is what you were asking but it appears you may want to know who currently flies A380 and what destinations. If so... Currently only five carriers being Qantas, Singapore, Emirates, Air France, and Lufthansa. fly the A380. See the related link below for complete listing of all routes and schedules flown by the A380 plus flight number to look for if booking a trip. Includes schedules and routes for Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Air France (from Nov09). http://airtraveladvice.blogspot.com/2009/07/which-routes-airbus-a380-flies.html
Currently only 6 as of 17/11/2010, but they have a entire order of 20 pending!!!
There are four main airlines currently using the Airbus A380, which is the largest passenger airliner in the world. These airlines are Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Qantas, and Lufthansa.
Qantas third airline to receive the a380
Qantas fly two types of Airbus, their respective maximum takeoff weights are; A330 : 510,000 lbs (233,000 kg) A380 : 1,200,00 lbs (560,000 kg).
It varies. Currently it is Qantas.
Qantas Airlines currently has 31 Airbus airplanes. Airbus A380-800:12 Airbus A330-300:10 Airbus A330-200:9
Currently (Apr 2010) four airlines operate the A380; Qantas, Air France, Singapore Airlines and Emirates. Lufthansa (Germany) and Kingfisher (India) are scheduled to introduce A380's during 2010.
Maybe oneday, but the It still has to get its Melbourne and Sydney services up and running propably, then add Brisbane, then u might see Perth added, But Emirates will propbably fly it to Perth b4 Qantas
Virgin Atlantic are not expecting their first A380 until 2013 however it is unlikely it will operate from Manchester or Orlando. A380 infrastructure exists at London Heathrow and airlines are only likely to use their A380's on very high demand routes. As such it is unlikely A380 will ever (in the foreseeable future) fly our of Manchester or Orlando. British Airways will be the first UK carrier to receive an A380 (currently forecast for 2012). Currently only three carriers being Qantas, Singapore and Emirates fly the A380 and they all fly selected routes out of London Heathrow. Air France will become the forth carrier in November 09 although their flights will initially be from Paris to New York JFK. See the related link below for complete listing of all routes and schedules flown by the A380 plus flight number to look for if booking a trip. Includes schedules and routes for Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Air France (from Nov09).
Not according to Qantas Airlines, who has several A380 in their fleet.
