The ends connect to the spool that's driven by the motor.

Once that come off the track or break, you cannot repair them. You must replace the entire regulator.

Buick 2000 regal driver side window doen't go down?

The power window assembly for the 2000 Buick is an electric motor connected to a cable and capstan that raises and lowers the window via linkages for lack of a better term. From experience the motor doesn't usually go bad, it is the window cable capstan wears because it's plastic and the cable is steel. If you're handy you can get the assembly from the web and replace it for $50-$60. If not take it in and have the pros do it.

Where do the two cables from the driver's side window regulator on a 95 Grand Marquis hook up?

In a 1995 Grand Marquis, the two cables from the driver's side window regulator typically connect to the window motor and the window lift mechanism. One cable is attached to the motor, which powers the window up and down, while the other cable connects to the lift mechanism that moves the window. It's essential to ensure that these connections are secure to allow for proper window operation. For specific installation, consulting a service manual or diagram can provide more detailed guidance.
