unbolt the window from the regulator and push the window all the way up and tape window to door then run the motor all the way up til it stops then reattach widow to regulator.
you dont adjust a tension pulley you adjust the position of the compressor to tighten the belt
Yes, it is used to adjust the tension on the A/C compressor. Looking into the engine compartment from the passenger side it is to the left of the alternator. To adjust tension you need to loosen the bolt which holds the pulley and then adjust the bolt which is directly above the pulley. Once you have proper tension tighten the pulley bolt.
A modification of a pulley could be adding a grip or handle to easily adjust the position, incorporating a braking mechanism for better control, or using a different material for increased durability or decreased friction.
an electric tool
It more than likely needs new bearings. That is why it is out of line, unless the vehicle has been in an accident. Remove the belt, and remove the tensioner idler pulley and repair it.
You don't. The pulley is pretensioned by the manufacturer. If the belt tension is incorrect, the pulley must be replaced.
May be may not be
Oh, dude, it's like this - a window blind uses a pulley system to raise and lower the blinds. The cord you pull is attached to a pulley at the top, which helps you easily adjust the height of the blinds. So yeah, next time you're adjusting your blinds, just remember you're basically a master of pulley physics.
To remove the pulley from an electric motor, you typically need to use a pulley puller tool. This tool grips the pulley securely and allows you to apply force to pull it off the motor shaft without causing damage. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for using the pulley puller properly to safely remove the pulley.
it is self adjusting .
what pulley/ there are only about 7 or so on a vehicle. water pump, alternator, ac, power steering pulley
Assuming that the splash covers were removed: First locate the tensioner pulley on the engine. It is a smooth pulley (no grooves) located between the A/C pulley and the P/S pulley. The tensioner pulley will require a 13mm socket to adjust. To move the pulley, switch the wrench to its position used to tighten. Place the socket over the bolt and turn it. This will move the pulley and loosen the belt enough to remove the old one. From there it is just a matter of installing a new belt following the routing diagram. This will be a little harder to do if the belt is not present.
