How do you change the camshaft position sensor in a '93 Pontiac Bonneville SE?
I have a 92 Bonneville thet needs a crank sensor how do you change it
Crank sensor is on the pulley and the teeth on the pulley sits inside of it for a megnetic response for computer. It is held on by two small bolts.
I changed my own on my 3.8L and my car doesnt want to shift correctly. You are able to adjust and its very picky where the correct position is.
What is the location of the condenser on a 1998 Bonneville when putting in the freon it leaks out before it gets to the ac unit is this why the compressor doesnt kick on?
Im in the middle of doing a head rebuild on my 95' eclipse gst since it overheated. To change the camshaft angle/position sensor you need to remove the cam gear on the intake side. This means you have to first remove the valve cover and the timing belt. I would say if you are going to change the cam position sensor, be ready to change the timing belt also... a pain to do but good…
