Normally the vacuum line from a brake booster goes to the intake manifold of a gasoline engine. Sometimes other lines will be tied in to feed vacuum to cruise control pots or 4x4 actuators, but the main hose will be larger.
Power brake booster failure or vacuum supply to booster insufficient.
No, the brake booster operates off of vacuum not electricity. If the booster isn't working then check the vacuum line going from the intake manifold to the booster. If the line is ok and not leaking then you need to replace the booster.
Check for a vacuum leak under the hood Check for a bad vacuum brake booster Check for a bad "Check valve" on the vacuum booster
No, the brake booster on a 1994 Acura Integra is different from a 1992 model. The 1994 model is a different generation and uses a different sized brake booster.
To many to try and go thru on this site, but your Dakota should have the routing on a label that is on the under side of the hood. If not, my Chiltons book in the Emissions chapter starting at page 4-20 has routing diagrams for all of the engines.
theres one under the hood near the brake booster silver can with two lines running through it.
BAD power brake booster are a vaccum leak at the booster.
Power brake booster is going bad. wont hold vacuum for power brakes to work.
The brakes on the 1994 SC2 use a brake booster that uses vacuum from the intake manifold to assist with actuating the brakes. The brake booster is basically a big rubber diaphragm that amplifies the force on the brake pedal several times. If this rubber diaphragm tears, which will happen over many years, you will develop a vacuum leak that will cause the engine to run rough if small, and can cause the engine to stall if large enough. You should call your local parts store and get pricing on a new brake booster, it is mounted to the firewall of the engine with four bolts and will require removing the brake master cylinder from the car completely to replace. You will need to bleed your brake lines after reinstalling the brake master cylinder so make sure you have someone to assist as the anti-lock master cylinders are a pain to bleed otherwise. Good luck
on the fire wall to the right of your brake booster
The vacuum lines are on the roof.
That transmission is all computer controlled. No vacuum lines on it.
