Llamas are cousins of camels. Alpacas gunacos and vicunas are also cousins.
Puma
In 1974, the year that they were put on the IUCN's endangered species list, there were only about 6,000 vicunas left. Luckily, their population has recovered and they are considered Least Concern. They still need to be conserved however, and their primary threats include habitat loss and poaching.
