You add oil at the oil fill cap. It is normally located on the valve cover of most engines. It is for sure located on the upper part of the engine. On modern engines it is plainly labled Oil and may even have the proper weight oil listed there.
no
no you check your oil with car off easier when car is cooled off
the motor gets lubricated.
The engine dipstick is the only tool you can use to measure how much oil is in the engine.
For an accurate reading, after the car has been sitting level and cooled off, open the hood, locate and remove the engine oil dipstick (should be on the drivers side of engine). The dipstick will be marked where the full line and add line is. The engine oil level should be anywhere between the full and add mark. Add one quart of motor oil to the engine if level is at or below the add mark.
One of the ways to reduce friction in a car engine is to add an oil lubricant. The oil lubricant can be mineral or synthetic but they help the engine parts to move without too much ware. Another way would be to add an engine oil cooler.
For 4 cylinder engine. The oil fill cap is located on the right side (facing the car). It is clearly marked engine oil.
It will continue to leak oil and if you do not add oil regularly it will eventually cause engine damage.
You would need to tell me which car you have. Please update the question, or ask a new one.
i didn't and my car was fine so you should't have to
add it to the oil.
Add oil to your engine and see if it will restart. then take it to the nearest service shop to have the oil leak repaired.
