through the fill plug on the drivers side of the transmission
where do you put transmission oil in a standard car?
You can check the motor oil or the transmission fluid.
where do you put transmission oil in on a 2003 ford rangers standard
Looking from under the car, there is a check plug on the transmission. Have to remove the plug, the oil should just drip out, if not, add to the level of the plug only.
Stanard transmissions use oil, not transmission fluid. There is a plug on the side of the tranny. Open the plug and stick your finger in. The oil should be right at the bottom of the opening. If not, you will need a pump to get the oil into the tranny.
A standard or manual transmission, doesn't use transmission fluid.
Standard Dexron-III
you dont..it has world standard atf....(ws)...you must check the line pressure to check the fluid......have it done by a pro...t
if it is an automatic then yes, if it is a standard transmission then no
Answer There is a dip stick at the back of the engine. Start your engine first, let it run and check your transmission oil level. You only check transmission oil levels when the engine is running, other oil levels have to be checked when the engine is warm to hot but not running.
Most standard transmissions take 85w90 gear oil. To be sure, check an owners manual or call a dealership.
It means check your transmission, why not start with the oil.
