above the oil filter is the stock oil pressure sending unit , remove it ..i believe its a 24mm socket , screw in new sending unit , use socket or wrench to tighten , connect aftermarket wire . you must lift vehicle , its almost impossible to do from above . you will spill some oil being that you must remove the oil filter , this would be a good time to change oil to avoid wasting what you spill when removing oil filter .
The oil sending unit on a 96 Honda Civic is right above the oil filter. The oil filter is on the back side of the engine.

(They're not listed in aftermarket catalogs) Not sure why they designed them like this, but they did! The coupe wipers on the other hand are more universal and you can get aftermarket replacements.
