In the shul (synagogue) and in the home.
In the home, customs vary, as some people light the menorah right outside the front door, some light it at a window, some place it on a table, and some put it at an indoor doorway. The main thing is to put it where the most people will see it.

Answer:

You're supposed to display the channukiah (Hanukkah-menorah) in a place that can be seen by the public. Most people display them in a window. You can also get outdoor ones that protect the candles from being blown out by the wind.

If you're referring to the Menorah whose construction is described in the Torah (Exodus ch.25), which was positioned in the Mishkan and later in the Temple in Jerusalem, then that is a question of great interest to millions of people alive today, for which there is no answer yet.

The famous bas relief illustrations on the Arch of Titus in Rome, depicting the Roman victory over the Jews and the destruction of the Second Temple, proudly and clearly show the soldiers carrying off the sacred implements from the Temple, including the Menorah. But that was almost 2,000 years ago, and the whereabouts of any of those objects is unknown today.
