1) Go into a page layout that allows you to see the header and footer.

2) Click on the text of the header or footer until the header or footer opens up.

3) Select everything inside the header or footer box.

4) Hit the delete key to clear all of the information.

5) Click on the main area of the document to finish.

if you mean where they are on the page? the header is at the top of the page, and the footer is at the bottom. if you are asking how to put in a header and footer, simply click on insert, then on the top bar theres an option to put in a header and one for a footer.
