Chevy does not cast the block size onto the block. once you see a big block compared small block you will know the difference. at a glance with nothing to compare it to id say look at the head. small block heads have one exhaust port close the ends and two exhaust ports real close together in the middle. the big blocks exhaust ports are evenly spaced and not close together at all.
If it is a 350 or smaller it is a small block. If it is a 396 or larger it is a big block except for the 400 which was made in both small block and big block configuration.
A 355 is just a 350 bored 0.030 over. There really is no difference. this is true but to further the answer if only you bore the cylenders out in the block you will need to buy aftermarket pistons to make up for the new wider space so you dont have compkications with the pistons slapping the cylender walls
DONT EVEN TRY IT THE HEADS ARE DIFFERANT BUT THE BLOCK IS BASSICALLY THE SAME BUT ITS NOT WORT THE HASSEL DONT EVEN TRY IT THE HEADS ARE DIFFERANT BUT THE BLOCK IS BASSICALLY THE SAME BUT ITS NOT WORT THE HASSEL
I dont know specifically but follow the upper radiator hose to engine block, it will be very close to this point.
350 Engines dont have transmission fluid. The Transmission does. Start the engine, leave the trans in Park, pull the dipstick and look at it. fill to full mark when the engine is fully warned up
It is debatable but has been known to put out a better spark do to the positioning of the angle spark plugs, but how much more affective this is I dont know.
Alot i would assume... I dont know...
I would doubt you would pour engine block sealer into coolant. More likely it would just need to be put in with the oil. Like lucas. I dont know your particular product. Depends also, are you leaking coolant, or burning it?
Should be in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose The previous answer is wrong dont know who wrote it but, the thermostat is on the drivers side of the engine block behind the alternator and below the intake manifold. on the lower hose.
i dont know but would like to know!!!
The engine is for racing. I dont know if its ment to be driven otherwise.
i have heard it will but i am not totally sure because i dont have a 350 to try it with
Hi I dont know if you are in SA, but in America they dont come out with an engine number! In SA they put the number on the driverside of the engine on the block next to the engine mounting bracket. It is very difficult to spot and you will be looking for a dotmatrix number! Duane
