Rainforests typically occur along the equator. This is due to the climate there. It is much warmer all year round, allowing for a growing season year-round. Also, that location receives a lot of rain all year, instead of in seasons.
Almost anywhere were there is an abundance of plant and animal life
Tropical rainforests are found near the equator for the heat
Rainforests are located around the equator. The larger rainforests are in South America and Africa.
Mainly Africa. Millions over the world. On all the continents. More where there are trees and wildlife! And of course TROPICAL AREAS
the rainforest is in warm countries.
Australia has more than two types of rainforest. Australia has tropical rainforests, sub-tropical rainforests, warm temperate rainforests and cool temperate rainforests.

Some Temperate Rainforests are protected. Temperate Rainforests in the United States, South Africa, Japan, and Australia are in national and state parks. Other rainforests are not in national parks (to my knowledge); however, that does not mean that they don't have some form of protection.
tropical rainforests and temperate rainforests
Temperate rainforests are found on the western coast of Australia. The far southwestern corner has rainforests, as has the northwest coast, with many pockets of temperate and even tropical rainforest in the Kimberly region.
Where Are Rainforests Located?Tropical rainforests are located near the equator. Fifty seven percent of all tropical rainforests are found in Latin America. One third of the world's tropical rainforests are in Brazil. Other tropical rainforests are located in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands (25% of the world's tropical rainforests) and West Africa (18%).Temperate rainforests are found along some coasts in temperate zones. The largest temperate rainforests are found on the Pacific coast of North America. They stretch from Oregon to Alaska for 1,200 miles. Smaller temperate rainforests can be found on the southeast coast of Chile in South America. There are a few other coastal strips with temperate rainforests, including small areas in the United Kingdom, Norway, Japan, New Zealand, and southern Australia.

There are two types of rainforests: the tropical rainforest and the temperate rainforest. The tropical rainforest is found near the equator, where the temperate rainforest is found elsewhere.
Temperate forests have more seasonal changes or Temperate forests have less biodiversity. rainforests have more biodiversity
All tree kangaroos are found only in tropical rainforests. They are not found in warm-temperate or cool-temperate rainforests. These rainforests can be either montane or lowlands.
