My 1999 Suburban 1500 LT has the DRL Module in a gray plastic case with a flip lid access to the PCB inside located under the dash to the left of the steering column. Open the lid to the plastic case, grab the PCB edge with pliers and wiggle free. I still haven't located the DRL diode though... Anyone?

It is mounted in the dash to the right of the head light switch. You will have to pop the front cover off of the dash to get to it.

The 98 did not come with daytime running lights. It did in Canada and the module is under the left front fender beside the light.
