Where do you find the s-vbd markings on the wheat pennies?

The S is the mint mark, which is found just below the date. No mark means Philadelphia, D is for Denver, and S for San Francisco. Then if it's one of the rare '09 VDB cents, the initials are on the reverse (tails) side, right at the bottom edge.
