Where do you get Ape for zoo tycoon?

In Zoo Tycoon 1 you can't buy an ape unless you complete the manual levels ( the sign with a panda on ).

In zoo tycoon 2 you can buy an ape when you have upgraded to lions.

If you want to upgrade it will cost you about £10.00 per day for 100 days but if you wanted to speed it up click the (>) arrow to transfer to £100.00 per day for 10 days although not a very good idea if you dont have £1000.00 on you. 99 days gives you enough time to earn the money instead of handing it over directly.
