Obsidian is found where ever water comes in contact with still lava. This can be found at random, though level 12 is the most likely area as this is the level that large amounts of lava naturally occurs. You can create obsidian yourself by pouring a bucket of water onto still lava as well.
Obsidian is made when flowing water meets a lave source. This can either be done naturally or by you. Just remember that the water needs to go into the lava, no opposite. Else you'll just get cobblestones.
Obsidian is formed when flowing water touches a stilllava block. You can achieve this with a bucket of water and a natural lava lake. Once this happens, you can mine the block with a diamond pickaxe. Be careful that you or the dropped block does not fall into the lava.
You Have to find A Source Block Of Lava or Set Down A Bucket Of Lava And Put Water Bucket On It and that should make the obsidian block.
If you are looking where to find them in mines you have to go down low near the lava.
U have to have a water bucket and place it in lava, I’ll get obsidian. u need a diamond or netherite pickaxe to mine it.
If you want to make it yourself, you can create a trough of lava, and pour water over it. When running water hits a lava block, it creates Obsidian.
Only diamond pickaxes can mine obsidian. They can be crafted like this:
D D D
E S E
E S E
D = Diamond
E = Empty
S = Stick
You have to make water and lava flow into each other to create the block. You need a diamond pickaxe to mine it.
