In Pokémon Yellow, there are only 5 HMs and the 5 HMs are Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength and Flash. Cut will be given to you by the Captain of the S.S. Anne, a resident within a house in Route 16 will give you the Fly HM, the Surf HM can be found in the Safari Zone, the 4th HM which is Strength can be received by the Safari Zone's Warden in exchange for finding his teeth in the Safari Zone and the Flash HM will be found in Route 2.
