Depends on the year. My 99 blazer had i very good ground spot right where the rear seat is mounted. Pull down the rear seat and u will see a big bolt in between both half's of the seats. scrape of as much paint and mount it there. it flawless. That bolt is directly attached to the frame. Hop this helps.
PS. i needed to use 4 ,1/2" washers so i would not break my crimp ring off.
