Ties connecting note heads are drawn either above or below the notes depending on placement of the notes on the scale. Positioning is dependent based solely on where space allows. Either top or bottom positioning is acceptable.
When the stem on the note goes up the tie is on the bottom, when the stem points down the tie/slur is on top

well, the trill key depends on what note you are trilling to. the keys labeled trill keys are the two small ones behind where you put your fingers on the left hand. they open the two small keys above where your left hand is placed.
If you want to play the note "d" that is the second line from the top, it is all fingers down except the 2 little fingers and the left hand pointer finger. If it is the "d" below the first space, it is all fingers but the 2 little fingers
You put your middle finger on the second hole from the top and hold your thumb as you usually would, on the back of the recorder, the B note.
