I have a 79 Datsun 210. After checking transmission places, I have found that there are a variety of trannys that model was released with, so I would assume the answer would be similar for your 77 to 80 question. Sounds like they should be swappable, but you ought to call a local transmission place and ask them, like I did. GOOD LUCK!

Both my mother and I had 1980 Datsun 210 Hatchbacks. Mine was the low end model and came with Toyo P155/80 R13's. Actually these were cheap bias ply tires and only lasted about 10,000 miles. My mother had the "sport" model and it came with Bridgestone P175/70 R13 radials which lasted a lot longer.
210 US fluid ounces = 6.21 liters.
To remove the ignition lock cylinder from a 1980 Datsun 210, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Then, insert the key and turn it to the "Run" position. Locate the small pin or release tab on the ignition housing, usually found on the underside of the cylinder, and depress it while pulling the lock cylinder out. Finally, remove any additional screws or components that may be securing it in place.
