Where do you report Internet scams?

If you suspect internet fraud of any kind, contact your local electronic/internet crimes unit in your city if you have one. You can also contact the FBI and report fraud to them also. You can report online scams & fraud on the BadDeal website.

In order to report an internet fraud you can do the following steps; go to ActionFraud website, when you are on a website already you can see the "Report a Fraud" button, you can also click "Report Attempted Scam or Viruses" and "Live Chat" button if you want to communicate with cyber crime authority.

Complaint Assistance - Federal Trade Commission - Ftccomplaintassistant.gov (in the US)

For a complaint of a business other than the US - Econsumer.gov

In the State you live in - The Office of the Attorney General Consumer affairs division

Also you can get "Consumer's Resource Handbook" free of charge mailed to you from the US government (It is a very handy reference with a lot of good resources - you are allowed two per household and you don't even have to pay for any postage it's totally free) at Consumeraction.gov(note at this time the website says it has run out its supply of copies, but you can preorder the 2009 Edition) you can view the publication online as well
