I would try the Grand Exchange. Since normal logs are not particularly valuable (51 coins at the time of this writing), you might also just burn them - and thus train your firemaking skill - until you are able to get more valuable logs.

There are several ways to get money; you might do mining and sell the ores, or do woodcutting and sell the logs, or go fishing and sell the fish.
A Tree Rune is where a player goes to a tree and cuts a full inventory of logs from it, and then banks them, this counts as 1 run, what they do after this is they repeat the process.
When cutting down a tree in runescape other players will not effect the rate of which you get logs but will effect the rate the of which the tree is cut down.
I am assuming this is on the grand exchange, willow logs sell for ridiculously little. This is the reason they are usually used as weight in trades. I have not checked the general store sell price for this item.
Achey Trees are pointy-looking trees that are found only in Feldip Hills and south of Castle Wars. They need level 1 Woodcutting to be chopped. When chopped, they give Achey logs, which sell for 579 coins at the Grand Exchange. This is the only type of tree, besides the normal tree, that only gives one log when cut. The Achey tree gives you 25 experience when cut.
