Where can you sell stuff in Skyrim?

In megaton the guy in the water plant will tell you he needs scrap metal to repair the pipes and he will buy any off of you and in underworld there is a ghoul called Winthrop who will also tell you how he is in need of scrap metal.

To barter, you need to

1. Choose any item(s) the trader has. The amount of caps for an item is how much you need to give back, IN BARTERING

2. Choose your item(s) you give back. You need to match or exceed the amount of caps needed to complete the trade.

i.e. Sugar Bombs=12 caps (trader)

Old 10mm pistol= 30 caps (you)

When this happens, you can press the X button to complete the trade. If you match the amount of caps, no change is given back. If you exceed the amount of caps needed, the change is returned to YOUR caps.

You can go to any store such as Maira in Megaton, the merchants traveling the waists, or on Rivet City all you have to do is turn the arrow in the middle to your inventory and then press the A button ( Xbox 360 controller) on the things you want to sell. Watch out sometimes the merchant or anybody may not have enough money to give to you.

Usually in cities/towns you can find people where you can ask them what they have for sale. You can sell certain things to certain people. If you found a wizard, they won't buy a sword, they will only buy spell books or soul gems, and certain jewelry items. Same principle if you find someone selling armor. In Riften, the center of town is a market place. But characters only have so much money, so you can't just sell everything you own.

you can sell it to anyone who wants to barter with you, for example find a person you would buy something from, but instead sell him stuff.
