Never she live during the 1700's she was queen of France.
Unfortunately none of her brothers tried to save her. Her brother Joseph II was emperor of Austria, but he died in 1790. His succesor was Leopold II, another brother of Marie Antoinette, but he died in 1792. His son, Francis II now became emperor (Marie Antoinette's nephew), but at that time, Austria was at war with France, and Francis II had never met his aunt and did not care for her. And so, none of Marie Antoinette's relatives tried to save her.
Her name was Marie Antoinette and she was an Austrian Archduchess. Therefore, she came from Austria.
Almost certainly. The French Revolution truly stemmed from the mass injustices between the three Estates of France and the equality to be found in the recent American Democracy. Marie Antoinette certainly made some of those injustices more obvious and made some statements that belied how unaware the first and second estate were of the third estate's problems, but she was not the cause of these problems.
Croissants were invented in Vienna (Austria) to celebrate the defeat of the Turks (whose flag featured a crescent moon) in 1683. That sort of pastry (essentially a flaky pastry made with yeast) produces a range of items, notably croissants and Pains au Chocolat, called Viennoiseries. The croissant may have come to France with Marie-Antoinette, the Austrian Queen of Louis XVI.
Of course she knew. The major event, The Fall of the Bastille, was definitely known to her but how could she know what was to come when there had always been a monarch in France? She probably didn't take it very seriously and by the time she did, it was too late.
She was born 1756 and came to New France with her husband Louis Hebert with their three daughters- Only one was born in New France- Scipion-Virginie Hebert.
She may not have been well liked by her countrymen, but Marie Antoinette is one queen that history will always remember. Her lavish style was the talk of the town - even if it wasn't exactly admired at the time - and that means her outrageous French getup will make a fantastic Halloween costume that will still have people talking! A Marie Antoinette costume is definitely one that stands out in the crowd and is easily noticed and recognized. The Queen of France always looked her best, right to the very end. Married to the infamous Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette had been a princess all her life. In the palace of Versailles, she was her country's fashion icon and she knew how to flaunt it. For this costume, think large skirts, satin fabrics, and gaudy bows and baubles. The queen would be seen beside her royal husband, at the center of the ballroom floor, and even gambling away her riches early into the morning, but her dresses would still hold their volume the whole time. This is due to many layers of underskirt and bustle that kept the skirts wide and noticeable. But there is little need for multiple petticoats to achieve the same look - simple tulle beneath the skirt will give it significant lift. As for accessories, glam it up with strings of pearls and huge jeweled necklaces, bracelets and rings. This is one costume that really can't be too over-the-top! The queen would also carry a fan in her hand to cool her beneath all those layers of fabric, and this would also be decorated with lace. As for the hairstyle, a wig might be the best way to make this costume come to life. It was considered high fashion at the time to powder hair white and pile it on top of the head in huge heights, decorated with bits of ribbon, feathers, and yes, more jewels. Marie Antoinette herself needed a wig to accomplish this look - the higher the hair, the higher the fashion. Just make sure there are no angry bourgeoisie or guillotines in the area, and this costume is ready to go!
the name Catalina comes from a queen in France named Catalina I should know because that is my name.
King Louis XVI was one of the most ineffective rulers of France (and that's saying a lot because it's France). After his reforms failed, he basically "checked out" mentally from the day-to-day operations of running a nation. He just ate, and ate some more and hunted -- that was it. He was pressed by Marie Antoinette not to give up absolute rule like the Third Estate demanded and by the time King Louis had realized how far the Revolution had come, it was at his front door.
Marie Antoinette was a misunderstood queen as Louis XVI showered her in gifts she did not even want. She wanted to help her people but sometimes didn't know how. This led to her being seen by the public as a bad queen. The diamond necklace scandal, which she had nothing to do with, made the public think she was a terrible person when in reality she was not. She was quite young.
