Nothing, but if anything it's the truth of the scene. The switchblade was Bob Ewell's knife. He took it from the crime scene, because that was the knife Bob tried to use to kill Jem and Scout. But Boo(Arthur) Radley heard and came at Bob, stabbing him with a kitchen knife. Jem was unconscious and Scout was pinned so it had to be Boo. Heck took the switchblade, so no one knew this. So Boo wasn't persecuted for saving their lives.

The switchblade was the knife that Ewell was carrying to attack Scout and Jem. Heck takes the knife when he visits the scene because he doesn't want the truth to come out; Boo stabbed Ewell with the kitchen knife. In order to preserve Boo's privacy, Heck wants the story to be that Ewell had the kitchen knife to attack and he fell on it. This is in order to avoid "killing a mockingbird". You have to read between the lines and pull apart the underlying facts in this chapter. Hope you enjoyed the book though!
