∙ 14y agoAlex Rider does not die at the end. In the next book, Ark Angel, it is a couple of weeks after Alex is shot. It starts with him in the hospital.

I can only assume that he also appears at the point parallel to the end of Stormbreaker and Eagle Strike.Incidentally, the tenth will be called Endurance Point. I have no idea what happens then, but I know that Alex appears a lot more then.

There is no tenth book in the Alex Rider series, and at the time of writing (2 April 2011) there are only nine (Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, Ark Angel, Snakehead, Crocodile Tears and Scorpia Rising). There will be a tenth, but it will be about Yassen Gregorovich rather than Alex. They are all really good books (I finished Scorpia Rising on the day it came out (31 March 2011)), and I would recommend them to anyone between 8 and 15 years old.
